2023 Feast of Tishri

Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry
On behalf of the Minneapolis Valley of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, I welcome you to our Valley Web Site. We invite you to spend some time and explore the information we have gathered here about our Fraternity, our Minneapolis Scottish Rite, and our historic Scottish Rite Masonic Center.
Our Minneapolis Scottish Rite offers a remarkable experience for those Freemasons who have chosen to continue their quest for More Light in Masonry by experiencing the dramatic Degrees of the Scottish Rite. Our historic Masonic Center is centrally located in the Lowry Hill neighborhood of Minneapolis and has been our home for 107 years. Within our walls, Masons from across the State of Minnesota meet regularly to engage in our gentle Craft and pursue the principles that have guided our beloved Fraternity for centuries – Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.
2022 and 2023 will be remarkable years for our Minneapolis Scottish Rite and for Masonry in Minnesota. This year, for the first time since 1860, the Sovereign Grand Inspector General for Scottish Rite Masons in Minnesota is also the Grand Master of Masons in Minnesota. You can read about Most Worshipful Grand Master Tony R. Krall and our Grand Lodge Officers on our Grand Lodge Web Site (https://mnfreemasons.org/about-us/). Additional information about SGIG Tony R. Krall, 33°, an active member of our Scottish Rite Supreme Council can be found at https://scottish-rite-mn.org/sovereign-grand-inspector-general.
And there is more … On June 23, 2023, the Brethren of Minneapolis Valley will celebrate the 150th Anniversary of our Lodge of Perfection. A historical perspective of the Minneapolis Scottish Rite was summarized in a 1973 booklet memorializing the 100th Anniversary of the Lodge of perfection and can be found at https://scottish-rite-mpls.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/1973-Valley-Overview.pdf. Over the next 12 months, Brothers of our Scottish Rite will be formulating plans to appropriately celebrate this historic event. Check back in the coming months to find out more about our planned celebrations. Enjoy your visit here and please contact us if you desire any additional information about our Minneapolis Scottish Rite or our Masonic Fraternity.

Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas and a Welcome the 2021 New Year
Greetings Brethren,
I wish each and every Brother of our Minneapolis Valley a belated Happy Hanukkah, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. May the joy of the holiday season inspire peace and contentment in your heart and in the hearts of everyone around the world.
I trust that many will join me in welcoming the end of the year 2020 – a year that has challenged us, our families, our society, and our gentle craft of Freemasonry. I cannot – nor can anyone – promise that 2021 will be a better year than 2020. We can already see that new challenges and new unknowns await us. We can and should however look forward to the new year with the strength of our shared experiences, our determination, and our hopes for meeting again soon in our Masonic Lodges.
We will continue to look to our Grand Lodge Leaders for guidance on when and how it will be safe to gather again. I know that we can and will explore technology permitting us to gather with greatly minimized risk to our Brothers and ourselves. But until we can meet again, I again ask for your continued assistance with the following important actions:
Welcome to the Minneapolis Valley’s Consistory news feed.
