    On behalf of the Minneapolis Valley of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, I welcome you to our Valley website. We invite you to spend some time and explore the information we have gathered here about our Fraternity, about our Minneapolis Scottish Rite, and about our historic Scottish Rite Masonic Center.

    Our Minneapolis Scottish Rite offers a remarkable experience for those Freemasons who have chosen to continue their quest for More Light in Masonry by experiencing the dramatic Degrees of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. Our Degrees explore historical, philosophical, and chivalric lessons in conjunction with a renowned Masonic education program to deliver upon the fundamental Masonic promise of helping a good man become a better man. The lessons from our Degrees are as applicable today as they were when they were compiled and crafted by Albert Pike. Our presentation of all of the Scottish Rite degrees sets us apart as perhaps the preeminent Scottish Rite for ritual presentation in the United States.

    Our historic Masonic Center is centrally located in the Lowry Hill neighborhood Minneapolis and has been our home for 111 years. Since 2019 our annual participation in the Doors Open Minneapolis City wide Open House has allowed us to open our historic building free of charge to thousands of visitors, enlightening them to the stunning architecture of our Scottish Rite Masonic Center and highlighting our Masonic heritage in Minneapolis.

    Within our walls, Masons from across the State of Minnesota meet regularly to engage in our gentle Craft and pursue the principles that have guided our beloved Fraternity for centuries – Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth. Twelve other Masonic Bodies and Masonic affiliated groups call our historic Scottish Rite Masonic Center home – including Blue Lodges, a full complement of the York Rite Bodies, Invitational Bodies, and Minnesota wide DeMolay leadership. We are the bedrock of Masonry in Minnesota.
